About Us

Englunds Funeral Service & Chapel is a proud long time local business to the area who represents and cares for our community with love and compassion.  Englunds Funeral Services is a continuation of the Williams Funeral Home that was started in Slaton Texas in 1936 by our grandparents.  Our Parents, Bud & Glynna Englund worked for our grandparents operating the Williams Funeral Home until buying the business and renaming it Englunds Funeral Service in 1966.  D.W. "Dubbin" and Robert Glen worked with their parents at the Funeral Home downtown until building the current location.  Englunds Funeral Service & Chapel continues to operate under the direction of the brothers serving many communities in the Lubbock and Lynn County area, Slaton, Wilson, Southland, Hackberry, Post, Lubbock, Ransom Canyon, Woodrow, Cooper community, Tahoka, Roosevelt, Acuff, Idalou and all of the respective farming communities included. 

With today's mobile society we serve families that have moved to where their jobs and families take them, nationally and internationally, but want to "come home" when a member has died calling upon our services to comfortably arrange travel and funeral details for their loved one bringing them back to our facility for any Life Celebration Needs, Funeral Ceremony and Interment.  We also offer pre-arrangements, Pre-need (prepaid) plans, cremation, memorial services and funeral insurance.  If you are contemplating moving your loved one to a care center come and see us first, we can help you with the process involved.
